Training programmes
We currently have three foundation training programmes on offer.
Foundation Training in Buddhist Theory and Practice
This is an integrated one-year programme for people interested in Buddhist wisdom, and developing a spiritual practice for the modern world. We will journey through a process of meditational grounding, deepening into an awareness of the nature of mind, and finally finding a way of re-emerging into fuller connection with ourselves, one another and the world.
Contemplative Psychotherapy
This is a six-month introductory foundation to contemplative psychotherapy. It consists of three long weekends. Through body/mind awareness practices we learn to journey individually and collectively through the many layers that obscure our innermost being. Our understanding is that this is a social, existential and spiritual crisis as much as a medical crisis. In such conditions traditional medical models of psychology do not always work, indeed, they may often contribute to the crisis. Contemplative psychotherapy draws on Buddhist methods of awareness to help heal by finding ways of exploring and opening ourselves to the deeper sense of being human.
Psyche and Cosmos: Weaving a New Worldview
These courses are Anglo-Hungarian and offer radical paths forward for people seeking to navigate through these challenging times. They are a powerful vehicle for self-inquiry, and spiritual recovery. Underpinning these courses is Kum Nye Tibetan yoga and the Javas seven worlds’ practice, which provide connections between the wisdom of the East, and the richness of Hungarian traditions. It provides an introduction to archetypal astrology combined with depth psychotherapy.
